Gregory W. Coleman, partner at CLC Law and Immediate Past President of The Florida Bar, has been practicing law in Palm Beach County for more than two decades. He joined the Law Firm of Critton, Luttier & Coleman in 1995 and was named partner in June of 2000. Earlier this year, he was awarded the President’s Award of Merit by The Florida Bar for the third time. Coleman became the first lawyer in the history of The Florida Bar to receive such a distinction.

Coleman is currently a Director of The Florida Bar Foundation and a delegate to the American Bar Association House of Delegates.
Coleman has been actively involved within the Florida legal community, serving as president of the Young Lawyers Division of both The Florida Bar and the Palm Beach County Bar Association. Coleman served as president of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, at the time being the youngest person to serve in the position. He is a current member of the House of Delegates for the American Bar Association.
Coleman received his Bachelor of Business Activities in Finance and a Minor in Political Science from Stetson University in 1985. He then received his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 1989. Coleman has been a member of the Stetson University College of Law Board of Trustees since 2010. Coleman lives in Palm Beach County with his wife Monica and son Cody.
Chairman of the Board: Bill Foley
Mr. Foley is the current President and COO of Cheney Brothers Inc. in West Palm Beach, Florida. His career with Cheney Brothers began in September 1996 with several positions such as District Sales Manager, General Manger, and Executive Vice President. He gained his prestigious position as Chief Operating Officer of Cheney Brothers in February 2008. He now oversees the day to day responsibilities of full line food distributions throughout the company with over 2,300 employees and $1.5 Billion in sales.
In 2011 Cheney Brothers began supporting the Beyond Blind Institute “Sightless Chef” Program along with Whole Foods Market in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. They have partnered with BBI by sponsoring all food costs, culinary tools and training location for the One-Of-A-Kind “Blind Chef” Culinary Program.
On September 1, 2015 Mr. Foley became the Chairman of the Board for the Beyond Blind. His lifelong commitment to excellence in the corporate world and his extensive knowledge of the culinary industry positions him well for his seat as Chairman of Beyond Blind. Bill has attained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Long Island University C.W. Post School of Business.

We are honored to welcome Mr. William L. Foley (Bill) to the Beyond Blind team in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Board of Director: Dr. Melissa Peters
Dr. Melissa Peters is a Certified Holistic Nutrition Practitioner. She is a member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals & the American Holistic Health Association. She focuses on increasing “gut-brain” function as well as power, strength and endurance among individuals and athletes. Genetic and nutrient testing allows for customization of protocols that focus on each patient’s specific biochemistry in order to facilitate optimal health.
After recovering from some severe health issues with the guidance of Dr. David Perlmutter, Melissa was able to obtain not only wonderful health, but passion for enabling others to do the same. Feelings of devastation, frustration and confusion returned a few years later when her son experienced health issues as an infant. This experience reinforced the idea to return to school in order to better care for her own family.
While completing, with honors, a Master’s of Science in Health and Nutrition Education, she worked as a health coach and conducted research in nutritional protocols for Alzheimer’s prevention. She became fascinated with genetic and environmental factors pertaining to optimal nutrition with emphasis on the gut-brain axis. She decided to continue learning more about genetic and environmental factors pertaining to optimal nutrition and completed her Doctorate with Superior Distinction in Holistic Sports Nutrition. She is passionate in her belief that, given the proper nutrients, knowledge, and guidance, everyone can achieve a much higher state of health.
Dr Peters works with a broad range of clients, including children and adults. Her practice focuses on supporting optimal health through individual biochemical needs based on state of the art nutrient and metabolic testing. She has recently become a new addition to the Board of Directors for the Beyond Blind and currently assists in the Health and Wellness Program on a by-weekly basis. We welcome Dr. Melissa Peters to the Board of Directors and the Bodies Beyond Blindness Program for Beyond Blind.
Board of Director: Bill Porter
Musician, promoter and producer for over 45 years; Bill’s music career began in the 1970’s in Minnesota where his love for music became his passion. As a drummer and performer Bill shared the stage with superstar celebrities such as Sammy Davis Jr., Jerry Lewis, Captain and Tennille, Ray Stevens and many more. He has performed everywhere from Minneapolis Jazz clubs to Cobo Hall Detroit, Toronto Exhibition and Harrah’s Lake Tahoe.
Bill spent more than 25 years as a senior operating executive in the corporate arena providing him with the business acumen to create Bill Porter Music. In 2001 with the perfect blend of business and music BPM was launched, today the company boasts over 1200 bookings and shows annually with a worldwide roster of talent to offer their esteemed clients.
The father of two daughters and grandfather of five, all reside in South Florida.
Board of Director: Dr. Michael Chimes
Dr. Michael Chimes attended Mount Vernon NY public schools, graduating from Mount Vernon High School in 1965. He also attended and graduated from Westchester Community College, Valhalla, NY in 1969 receiving A.A.M.S. Degrees. He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA receiving both B.S. and D.C. Degrees and the recipient of the Outstanding Chiropractic of the Year Award in 1981 from Palmer Chiropractic Research Institute. He also served as the President of the Palmer College of Chiropractic International Alumni Association from 1994 to 1996. Dr. Chimes conducted his chiropractic practice in Englewood Cliffs, NJ for 22 years and had the honor of taking care of Mickey Rooney for more than four years while starring in the smash hit Sugar Babies. Dr. Chimes also hailed from a vaudevillian harmonic playing family act, i.e. show business in the early 1950’s, he has the distinction at the age of four of being the youngest performer on Broadway at the Palace Theater.
After contracting viral pneumonia in 1997 Dr. Chimes later sustained a detached retina of his left eye. Subsequently, his right eye had become infected leaving him with only peripheral vision resulting in a legally blind status. He was then forced to retire from his practice. He moved from his residence in Mount Vernon, NY to Palm Beach Gardens FL. permanently in 2006. Several years later he met Joyce Gugel, Founder of Beyond Blind ironically living in the same development, at which time he became a Beyond Blind member. Having conducted his life surrounded by various healthy attributes, Dr. Chimes fits in well as a member since Beyond Blind promotes fitness, healthy eating and a positive lifestyle. As a Board Member, he is concentrating his efforts to support Beyond Blind with fund raising and to assist in the growth and development of membership and bring public awareness of the benefits of this outstanding organization to the visually impaired and blind.
Board of Director: Chris Snyder
A native of Boca Raton, Chris Snyder attended Indiana Institute of Technology. Upon graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Sports Management, he began his career in banking and finance. Snyder later completed an MBA in Marketing and Management from the same institution in 2010.
After acquiring experience in many aspects of business in the banking world, Snyder begin a career in sports entertainment. During his tenure with professional NFL, MLB, MiLB, and NHL teams, Snyder has establish many successful business and community partnerships.
Snyder now serves as the Palm Beach County Staff Lead for the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Snyder’s civic responsibilities include an appointment to the board of directors with the Beyond Blind. He has also served as an Executive Board Member of Mind Over Matter Ministries and as a fundraiser for Little Smiles of Palm Beach County. Throughout his career he has served as a volunteer with countless non-profit organizations.
